Coaching
Coaching at Alignment Wellbeing is a collaborative, relationship designed to help you understand and work with blocks or patterns of behaviour so you can begin to make intentional changes in your personal or professional life. It can be used to help you address areas where you feel stuck or emotionally blocked to help you begin to define meaningful goals based on your values to build confidence and self awareness. Sessions can include reflection and realignment, goal setting, clarifying values, beliefs and purpose in life.

Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses hypnosis to help individuals address psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues. It is a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility where you become deeply relaxed, but highly attentive, and more open to guided imagery or therapeutic suggestions. During Hypnosis individuals remain aware of their surroundings and can choose to accept or reject suggestions. You are never unconsciousness or stuck in a state of Hypnosis.
During a hypnotherapy session at Alignment Wellbeing, you are gently guided into a hypnotic state and given techniques such as suggestion, visualization, and cognitive reframing to help you bring about change to habits or behaviours. It is useful for breaking patterns of behaviour or helping to access and heal past trauma.

Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) often called “tapping” is a mind–body practice that combines elements of psychology with acupressure.
EFT is based on the idea that emotional distress is linked to disruptions in the body’s energy system or meridians. By tapping on these specific points on the body while focusing on an issue you would like to address, it is possible to reduce the emotional intensity and stress this issue causes. This is hugely beneficial to help the body to move out of survival patterns reducing the emotional charge of a triggering event so you feel better able to cope.

Mentoring
Mentoring at Alignment Wellbeing provides support and guidance, to help you grow in life skills and confidence.
It includes:
- Knowledge transfer by sharing experience-based insights.
- Guidance and perspective to help you to address decisions, challenges, in both career or personal development paths.
- Feedback and reflection to offer feedback and encouraging self-assessment.
Unlike coaching, mentoring offers a longer-term and holistic experience.

Energy Healing is based on the idea that a universal life energy flows through all living things. When this energy is low or blocked, a person may experience stress or illness, and can help to realign and restore balance in both mind and body. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, and relaxing experience and helps bring a quiet sense of being at peace. During Reiki you may notice comgorting sensations such as a warmth, tingling, or coolness in specific parts of the body.
Energy Healing can be used to support:

- Imbalance in the body
- Spiritual Health

During guided meditation attention is brought to the breath, body sensations, and visualisation to help bring quiet to a busy mind and down regulate the stress response which can help with:
- Relaxation and sleep
- Emotional regulation e.g., reducing anxiety or anger
- Compassion and empathy loving kindness self care practices
- Confidence, motivation, or focus visualisation-based practices
Breathwork is the term for intentional directed breathing practices used to influence mental, emotional, and physiological states. Unlike normal, automatic breathing, breathwork involves conscious control of breath rhythm, depth, or pattern to produce specific effects.
Benefits of Breathwork include:
- Regulating the nervous system and Vagal Nerve
- Helps to shift mood, reduce anxiety and provide a sense of calm
- Clears the mind to provide focus
- Encourages mind and body awareness
- Assists with meditation practice
Mindfulness is the practice of deliberately bringing your attention to the present moment. You intentionally direct and sustain attention on what is happening in the now such as your breathing, physical sensations, thoughts, or external sounds. An example could be something as simple as doing the washing up where you pay attention to the sensation of the water, the bubbles, movement of the water etc. Rather than becoming absorbed in experience, you simply allow yourself to observe it without judgment or labelling any thoughts as good or bad. Thoughts and emotions are noticed as events that arise and pass, not as facts that must be acted upon.
Mindfulness can help:
- Reduce automatic reactivity by creating a pause between stimulus and response.
- Improves emotional regulation by increasing tolerance for uncomfortable thoughts or feelings.
- Enhances concentration through attention training.
- Supports stress reduction by interrupting worry about the past or future.
- Builds self-awareness that can translate into better decision-making and behavior change.
Mindfulness can be practiced formally either by sitting meditation, body scans or informally by mindful eating, walking, or listening or doing an activity.
Creative Expression at Alignment Wellbeing supports healing and personal growth and enables thoughts and feelings to be expressed through the medium of drawing, painting, journalling or creating vision boards for yourself.
As a therapeutic mechanism these activities provide a safe space for you to process emotion or express yourself mindfully.
